The fresh fruit and produce in Australia is incredible! It’s easy to be healthy and gourmet at The Kettle Black! Enjoy the imaginative, locally-influenced cuisine of Chef Jesse McTavish and get caught up in the food photography, this is place you will definitely want to snap some photos before you eat! With food like this, I could live there too! I will be writing more about Melbourne and places to eat when you visit, as well as the three sister restaurants of Kettle Black Top Paddock, Two Birds One Stone, and Higher Grounds. The menu features amazing fruit, yogurt, and porridge bowls (their Instagram is amazing), and food this beautiful is enough to make you want to get on a plane to Australia! I’m fortunate to have visited Melbourne several times (I have family there), and the food scene is amazing! In fact, Melbourne was recently named most livable city in the world, a title it has had several times. The space itself– part a chic Victorian terrace house, expanding into the ground floor of a stylish apartment complex features green chairs and modern, Scandinavian decor and lighting, a communal table, marble bar, and cushioned window seats where you’ll want to curl up like a cat in the sun while enjoying your beverage! Since opening in 2014, The Kettle Black has become Melbourne’s favorite spot (among many) for gourmet breakfast, lunch, and brunch fare, plus a food cart.
